背景：
淡水是人類(lèi)最寶貴的資源，它不僅是所有生命賴(lài)以生存的物質(zhì)基礎，也是決定社會(huì )經(jīng)濟發(fā)展的主要因素之一。隨著(zhù)全球人口的增加和社會(huì )經(jīng)濟的快速發(fā)展，淡水資源短缺的現象日益嚴重，而富營(yíng)養化、有機污染、生物入侵、土地利用變化等因素使淡水生態(tài)系統不斷退化，進(jìn)一步加劇了淡水資源的緊缺，甚至威脅到人類(lèi)的健康與生存。同時(shí)，全球變化，尤其是氣候變暖，不僅影響到降雨和淡水資源的分布，還影響到淡水生態(tài)系統和水環(huán)境的變遷。因此，如何應對全球變化所帶來(lái)的影響成為未來(lái)水環(huán)境保護與治理必須考慮的重要內容。
國際湖沼學(xué)會(huì )（International Society of Limnology, SIL) 成立于1922年，是有關(guān)湖泊、水庫、河流等淡水水體研究的唯一國際學(xué)會(huì )，現擁有會(huì )員3000余名。自成立以來(lái)，國際湖沼學(xué)會(huì )始終致力于揭示淡水水體的基本特征、發(fā)展相關(guān)的理論，并將其應用于水體的保護與管理，從而在水資源保護、開(kāi)發(fā)利用等方面發(fā)揮著(zhù)重要作用。國際湖沼學(xué)會(huì )每三年舉行一次學(xué)術(shù)大會(huì )，2007年在加拿大蒙特利爾舉行的第三十屆大會(huì )期間，執委會(huì )決定在三年一次的湖沼學(xué)大會(huì )期間，另舉行專(zhuān)題研討會(huì )。本次全球變化與淡水環(huán)境學(xué)術(shù)研討會(huì )是國際湖沼學(xué)會(huì )首次在中國舉行的學(xué)術(shù)會(huì )議，旨在促進(jìn)湖沼學(xué)理論的發(fā)展及其在社會(huì )經(jīng)濟發(fā)展中的應用，探討如何應對全球變化背景下水環(huán)境治理與修復等方面的挑戰。
會(huì )議主題：全球變化與淡水環(huán)境。
包括以下專(zhuān)題：
1、全球變化及其對淡水生態(tài)系統的影響；
2、人類(lèi)活動(dòng)加速的淡水環(huán)境變遷；
3、淡水生態(tài)系統中的藍藻水華：機制與生態(tài)效應；
4、淡水毒理學(xué)與水質(zhì)安全；
5、淡水生物資源開(kāi)發(fā)與生物多樣性保護；
6、生態(tài)系統服務(wù)與生態(tài)系統恢復。

為加強湖沼學(xué)與水環(huán)境等領(lǐng)域學(xué)生之間的交流，特設立學(xué)生專(zhuān)場(chǎng)，同時(shí)為部分學(xué)生提供資助，獲得資助的學(xué)生將免注冊費。有口頭報告或墻報的學(xué)生將有機會(huì )參加學(xué)生報告獎的評選，大會(huì )將評選口頭報告一等獎1名，二等獎3名，三等獎5名，墻報一等獎1名，二等獎2名，三等獎3名，獲獎?wù)邔@得由組委會(huì )簽發(fā)的證書(shū)。
報告形式與要求
大會(huì )包括特邀報告，主題報告，口頭報告和墻報等。大會(huì )報告40分鐘，主題報告30分鐘，一般口頭報告20分鐘。

論文摘要征集
欲參加大會(huì )報告、主題演講、學(xué)生專(zhuān)場(chǎng)和張貼會(huì )議墻報的參會(huì )人員，請在2009年6月30日之前提交論文摘要。摘要錄用通知將于2009年8月31日之前發(fā)出。
論文摘要為250－300字，21×29.7厘米（A4），上下頁(yè)邊距為3厘米，左右為2.5厘米，全文為Times New Roman 字體，單倍行距，字號12磅。摘要包括論文題目、作者姓名（請在欲做學(xué)術(shù)報告的作者名字后加注*）、作者單位、通訊地址和電子郵件、聯(lián)系電話(huà)，并提交填好的申請表。

注冊費
注冊費為人民幣1200元，學(xué)生減半，包含獲取會(huì )議論文摘要集、會(huì )議接待、會(huì )議期間的伙食費（中、晚餐）、宴會(huì )、茶歇和太湖考察費等。

Background and main topics
Freshwater is one of the most limited natural resources on our planet. Due to the rapid human population growth and economic development, water will become increasingly limited. Thus, the greater water demand and increased environmental pollution will hamper the future socio-economic development of the world.
Water availability now and in the future is heavily dependent on climate, water use, management and land-use practices. In limnology there has been a long tradition of research related to protection and restoration of freshwater ecosystems and resources. At the 30th Congress of the International Society of Limnology (SIL) in Montreal in August 2007, the International Committee encouraged initiation of a series of non-congress SIL meetings. Such meetings are considered to serve the society at large. This first meeting will focus on global change and freshwater environments with the aim to further the exchange of ideas and information on the management of freshwater systems and resources, both now and a future warmer climate, and the main topics will include:
1. Global change and its impact on freshwater ecosystems
2. Human accelerated environmental changes in freshwaters
3. Algal blooms in freshwaters: mechanisms and consequences
4. Aquatic toxicology and water quality safety of freshwaters
5. Resource use and conservation of freshwaters
6. Ecosystem service and restoration of freshwaters

Student session and scholarships
There will be a special session for students to exchange their work on limnology. Limited numbers of scholarships are available for supporting students to participate in the symposium. The scholarships will cover registration fee (food included) and accommodation. Those interested in the scholarships should contact the secretariat: e-mail: silsym@126.com, fax: 0086-25-57714759.
Registration fee
The registration fee will be 300U$ for ordinary participants, for students the fee will be reduced to 100 U$. The registration fee will cover the cost of abstract printing, lunch and dinner during the meeting and an excursion to Lake Taihu.
